Graphic Design

Could you please define graphic designing in your own words?
Graphic design is the discipline that comunicates a message trough graphics. We have publicist graphic design, corporative identity design, web design, and multimedia design. Graphic designers takes the responsability to create new things, and still they built an image for the persons or the industry they are working with, Our job is to make and built their image. It's also a way to bring a message for a lot of people, but it's up to us to make them stop and stare. Is an activity that requiers creativity, pacience, imagination, and the will to take a risk and responsability in everything we do.

What influenced you to pursue graphic designing?
I think everyone has an hability to do something, and for me is more than a career. I love to do all the things that requiers beeing a graphic designer.

Could you please describe the educational process required to become a graphic designer?
We have to know about strategies in marketing, we have to learn about people and their needs, what they want to see, what we want them to see, and how they are going to react, a product or a publicity depends on what we have investigate about that, and the design we create.

What are some of the skills that are involved when designing?
We need to be creative, paciences, we have to have a lot of imagination.

What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?
I have started to do works on my own, i will like to have my own ofice.

What's something in your student life that you enjoy the most?
I like the learning process, here in URBE we have a very good graphic design teachers, and i try to learn everything i can from them.

What is the most difficult aspect of graphic designing?
I think the most difficult thing is to learn about the programs we use, but it's fun at the same time.

What are your plans for the future?
To be a very succesfull and productive person with my work.

Point out your most personally gratifying moment in graphic designing.
I really like all the final works in workshop design (taller de diseño), is the most important subject in graphic design, and i really enjoy it.

Why would you recommend graphic designing as a career?
To study graphic design is important to feel passion about it, and to have all the skills that it takes to become a graphic designer. To become one, you don't need that anyone recomend you to, you need to feel it, and to be good about it. Like i said before, everyone has an hability to do something that not everybody has. I like graphic design and i respect all the diferent careers and the people who study them.
